The Matera Narrative Puzzle is a site-specific game created by Super Serios for the 2019 Fusion Urban Games Festival in Matera, Italy. This interactive project reimagines the classic treasure hunt, inviting participants to explore the city and contribute to a collective digital artwork.
Explore and Discover: Participants are divided into teams and assigned to different areas of Matera, each with its own unique character. They then search for QR codes hidden throughout their designated zone.
Capture and Contribute: Upon finding a QR code, participants use their smartphones to capture and upload an image to a central online platform.
Collective Creation: As more images are gathered, they form a dynamic, evolving collage of Matera on the platform, creating a real-time portrait of the city through the eyes of its explorers.
