Institutul Jocului (The Play Institute) is one of our most ambitious projects so far, launched in June 2023 and developed together with the Laborator Artistic Association.
We aim to promote the potential of play as an interactive artistic medium by creating games as participatory and performative art installations, alongside critical lenses of analysis for the contemporary gamified landscape.
Our initiatives include The Library for Public Games, available online for free, and the Summer School—a pedagogical program that involves artists in developing the playful and participatory aspects of their own practice.
Institutul Jocului maintains a digital presence accessible to the public, as well as an ephemeral presence in public spaces or unconventional artistic venues.
